October 20: New York/London

Departure from New York for London, the exciting capital of England. Please be at airport 2 to 3 hours prior to departure. Your overnight flight will be comfortable and quick as you fly over the Atlantic Ocean en route to the Old World of Europe.

October 21: London.

Arrival in London. Meet Jan, your tour manager and local driver for an orientation tour of London. See the Houses of Parliament, the Westminster Abbey, Trafalgar Square, Piccadilly Circus and all those wonderful sites you have heard and read about.

Afternoon at leisure, to relax and to explore together with your teachers and friends.

Dinner and overnight in London.

October 22: London

This morning Jan will take you on a walking tour through the Corridor of Power. Visit Westminster Abbey, see the Changing of the Guard and take the boat or Tube (subway) to the Tower of London for an inside visit to this historic and mighty building. There will be time in the late afternoon, to visit some fun sites on your own. Dinner and overnight in London.

October 23: London

This morning has been reserved for a visit to Windsor Castle. This is one of the most popular homes of the Royal Family. Enjoy the sites and listen to the stories.

The afternoon has been kept at leisure. You may wish to visit, amongst others, Madam Tussauds. Tonight’s dinner will be followed by an invitation to a walking tour with ‘Jack the Ripper’. Prepare yourselves for some awesome stories!

Overnight in London.



October 24: Canterbury, sea-ferry and Paris

Morning departure for Canterbury where you will visit its mighty Cathedral. It is here that St. Thomas Becket was murdered and where the Archbishop of Canterbury resides. The Cathedral is steeped in history. Enjoy the visit. Continue your journey to Dover where you will board the ‘P and O’ ferry for your crossing to Calais, France. On arrival you will continue ‘The White Cliffs’ – Dover your journey by train to Paris. Transfer to your hotel. Then dinner and overnight in Paris.



October 25: Paris

A morning tour of Paris awaits you. Your local guide will show you where kings and queens lived as well as were beheaded. She will tell you tales of times gone by and introduce you to the Champs Elysees, the Arc de Triumph, the Notre Dame de Paris and so much more. Dinner and overnight in Paris.



October 26: Paris

This morning you will visit the Louvre museum. In the afternoon there is time for you to see the famous Place du Tetre as well as the Sacre Coeur which graces the hill of Montmartre. Evening cruise on the river Seine.

Dinner and overnight in Paris.



October 27: Normandy

Early morning departure for your fast and comfortable train journey to Caen, which is situated in Normandy. Upon arrival you will be met by your local coach. First stop will be to the Memorial museum. Here you will see history of the events, which took place in Europe 60 years ago. After a most remarkable morning, sit back and let your driver take you in no time at all to the Normandy beaches where the allied forces landed in June 1944. Here so much history was made and so many of our heroes lost their lives here when they landed in the hope to free Europe from German occupation. If required, you can stop at the American Cemetery before you return to Caen for dinner. Return journey by train back to Paris. Overnight in Paris.



October 28 Paris/ Lucerne

Your drive from Paris to Lucerne is relaxing and enjoyable. Sit back and enjoy the ride as you drive through the French countryside. You will stop en route for some lunch arriving in Lucerne
in late afternoon. What a site to be Eiffel Tower – Paris seen. Hopefully the clouds are high so that you can see the mighty mountains, which are all around you. Visit Lucerne and enjoy dinner and overnight in Lucerne.



October 29 Lucerne

You will have time to shop and to take a cruise on Lake Lucerne or to the top of the Pilatus Mountain. Here you are 7000 ft high and hopefully you will be able to see all the snow covered mountains all around you. This optional excursion is surely one to be considered. Return to Lucerne for an evening of folklore and fun as well as local food and music. Dinner and overnight in Lucerne.



October 30 Lucern / Zurich / Atlanta

You will wake up this morning in your comfortable bed in Lucern drive to the airport for your return flight back to New York and go to sleep tonight in your familiar surroundings back home. What a journey you have just had. What fun it was and what an eye opener to have seen some of the splendor of Europe.
