April 8

Departure from New York airport for Paris. Your Lufthansa flight will leave in the late afternoon. You will travel to Paris via Frankfurt.



April 9

Arrival in Paris. Meet your local driver who will take you in no time to your hotel, which is located in the fashionable and safe Bastille district.

Paris. What a city! Here you find elegance, history, excitement and so much more. The city often called "the city of light" is alive day and night. Its many beautiful squares, avenues and monuments are lit up at night. Do not forget to take a cruise on the Seine! A hike to the second floor of the Eiffel tower is a good work out. Furthermore a visit to the Louvre and/or Orsay museum is an educational experience in its own right.

We have made arrangements for dinner during your stay in Paris and we will provide each of you with a carnet, 10 metro tickets, for you to travel to sites you intend to visit.



April 10 and 11

Explore the sites with your friends and teachers. To be in this magnificant city in April is quite a treat! So many trees are in bloom. You will be the envy of many for spending this special month in Paris!



April 12

Morning transfer to the St. Lazare station from where you will travel by train to Caen.

Caen is situated in Normandy and was badly bombed during the second World War. Here you will find the historic Abbeye aux Hommes as well as the Abbeye aux Dames. Visit the grave of the famous William the Conqueror in the Abbaye aux Hommes. William is the man who conquered Britain during the battle of Hastings of 1066. (his wife Mathilde is buried in the nearby Abbaye aux Dames) Continue your journey of discoveries with a visit to the impressive Memorial museum.

Dinner and overnight have been reserved in a real nice hotel down town Caen. Bon appetit!



April 13

Early morning departure for Bayeux where you will see the Bayeux tapestry. This piece of art dates back to the time of the Battle of Hastings. It is very well preserved in color and its presentation is just wonderful. Do not forget that you will be looking at a piece of art, which dates back nearly 1000 years. Continue via some of the Normandy Beaches, where you will see where our boys landed in 1944, to St. Malo. Dinner and overnight in a hotel near the beach of St. Malo



April 14

A full day of exploration awaits you as you visit Mont St. Michel. This island, connected to the main land by a causeway, is a protected area in France. It attracts thousands of visitors each year. You will understand why. It is a spectacular site to approach! On top of the Mont St.Michel you will find the magnificent Abbey, which is dedicated of course to St. Michael.

Return to St. Malo in the afternoon for independent sightseeing. Dinner and overnight in St. Malo



April 15

A full day of local exploring awaits you. Your teacher will have planned it and it will be fun. Your driver will be able to take you to some wonderful places. The entire area around St. Malo is attractive and interesting. Subject to the weather, you may even have some time to relax on the sandy beaches. Dinner and overnight stay.



April 16

Departure from St. Malo and travel towards Giverny for a visit to Monet's gorgeous house and gardens. This impressionist painter lived here at the beginning of the last century. In his many paintings he immortalized water lilies as well as the trees and flowers, which surrounded his house. Continue your journey to Paris for dinner and overnight stay.



April 17

After all the education of the past week you may want to do some independent sightseeing. Some last minute shopping or a stroll in one of the many charming parks may be a welcome change! Enjoy! What would be nicer than the sit leisurely in a cafe on the famous Champs Elysees and see the world pass by! Dinner and overnight stay in Paris



April 18

Transfer to Charles de Gaulle airport for your return journey back home to New York.
