2,000 years ago, the Romans conquered the sun-drenched region of Provence. It is not surprising that they opted for this wonderful part of Southern France. Here the tapestry of vineyards together with the magnificent scenery attracted equally the Romans and Impressionists alike. The luminous beauty of Provence complimented by the warmth of the local people and the easy-going ambiance will inspire you.

In this program we introduce you to the architecture, history and artistic achievements of 2000 years of history with visits to the following:

The Pont du Gard aquaduct which dates back to Roman times and its fascinating museum. Nimes, Orange, Vaison les Romaine, Arles and St. Remy de Provence - centers of Roman life and architecture. This one-week program: From the Romans to the Impressionists will take place April 29-May 8 as well as October 1-10, 2005. Participation will be limited to 20 participants with a minimum of 10 travelers. Price includes accomodations in a charming Provencale hotel, breakfast daily and 4 dinners.
